Led by Town government, with support from the Energy Conservation Citizens Advisory Committee and numerous community partners, this program can help leverage group purchasing of solar installations between May 9, 2017 and July 31, 2017 and save participants up to 20% off the cost of going solar.
Solarize Amherst has vetted and negotiated reduced installation and material costs from three local installers, and our Building Department is waiving electric permit fees for campaign participants for a limited time during the campaign. As a result, if you go solar now, you can save money while greening the earth and the Amherst Community.

Learn how the program works and signup today for your free solar evaluation which includes a roof evaluation, preliminary site design, energy usage profile, and financial analysis.

Get your permit fees waived if you sign a contract with one of the three qualified local solar contractors by June 5th!
This can amount to approximately an additional $200 in savings!

Solarize Amherst is part of a regional campaign for residents and businesses in communities across Buffalo Niagara to go solar. If you are interested in bringing Solarize to your city, town, village, or neighborhood, get in touch with us. We’ll help you get started.
